Bybit cashback is easiest to understand as a reconciliation problem: which fees are eligible, which account generated them, and which payment settles the resulting rebate? A referral relationship, an exchange reward and a payment from TradePayback are separate records. This guide shows how to connect those records without treating a headline percentage as a promise about every cost in your account.

Start with the payment you are trying to verify

Write down whether you are checking an exchange campaign reward, an affiliate commission or customer cashback arranged through TradePayback. Those labels can describe different recipients. A commission earned by an inviter does not automatically belong to the invited trader. Likewise, a reward voucher should not be recorded as cash received unless its terms and transaction record support that treatment.

The Bybit referral FAQ describes the exchange's own program, with regional eligibility and net-fee rules. It is not the contract for a separate customer cashback service. Use that document to identify the program being discussed, then ask TradePayback to confirm the applicable customer arrangement. Do not import a public referral campaign's payout time into your TradePayback reconciliation sheet.

Before opening a support request, state the expected payment in one sentence: “I am checking TradePayback cashback for my Bybit UID for this period.” This prevents a conversation about a missing customer payment from turning into an unrelated explanation of exchange promotional rewards. If you are actually claiming a referral campaign reward, identify that campaign instead.

Build a fee ledger before calculating cashback

Take completed fills from the period you want reviewed. Keep the trading product, execution time, order or execution reference, fee amount and fee currency. Preserve the original amount even if you later convert it for reporting. Add a column for any fee offset or adjustment that you can verify from your account records. Leave a field unknown when you cannot establish it.

The Bybit fee structure distinguishes products and account tiers and directs users to their own fee-rate page for account-specific rates. For your ledger, the important consequence is that a current headline rate is not adequate evidence of the amount charged on an earlier execution. Keep actual charged fees separate from an illustrative calculation.

Ledger fieldWhy it belongs in the record
UID and account contextMatches the payment enquiry to the correct customer
Execution referenceMakes a disputed fee traceable
Product and fee currencyPrevents unlike charges being combined silently
Period and time zoneDefines the boundary of the claim
Confirmed eligible fee amountProvides the calculation base
Received payment referenceSupports reconciliation after settlement

Do not include deposit principal, realised trading profit or total turnover in the eligible-fee column. They answer different questions. If a report displays turnover and fees together, label both columns explicitly. A large trading volume can coexist with a small eligible fee base; a zero-fee execution should not be assigned an invented positive fee.

Separate discount arithmetic from the agreed settlement base

Consider a fictional example with a reference fee of 100 units. Suppose an immediate discount reduces the charged fee to 80, and a separate agreement returns 30% of that remaining charged fee. The later rebate is 24 units, making the combined saving 44 units against the original reference fee. The two percentages are not added. These numbers explain the arithmetic only; they are not a Bybit or TradePayback offer.

Now change the assumption: the agreement might define its base as eligible net fees after certain offsets. If the confirmed base is 60 rather than 80, 30% would produce 18 units. This is why asking “30% of what?” is more useful than comparing two isolated percentages. Obtain the definition of the base before estimating the payment.

A comparison should preserve its denominator. “Saving against a reference fee” and “cashback as a share of an eligible fee” may both be legitimate descriptions, but they cannot be compared directly. When reviewing the current Bybit arrangement on TradePayback, ask which interpretation applies to your account and product. The displayed rate is a starting point for clarification, not a replacement for eligibility confirmation.

Register the UID without handing over account access

Use the Bybit detail page for the centrally maintained signup destination and displayed referral code. After registration, contact TradePayback through the consultation options on that page and provide the exchange name and your UID. UID registration lets the team identify the account you want checked; it does not itself prove that the exchange has attributed the account or that every trade qualifies.

For an existing account, describe the current situation before creating another account or moving funds. Ask whether the existing relationship is eligible and what evidence is required. Do not assume that entering a code somewhere after registration changes attribution retrospectively. Do not use an additional identity or a second account to manufacture an eligible relationship.

Keep passwords, verification codes and API secrets out of the request. If a screenshot helps, retain only the fields necessary to identify the fee or account relationship. A UID and an execution reference are evidence identifiers, not permission to operate the trading account. Ask for an explanation if a requested item seems unrelated to the payment enquiry.

Investigate a short payment in a fixed order

First compare the claimed period with the reported settlement period, including the time zone and boundary times. Next confirm that the UID in the request matches the account used for trading. Then compare the eligible fee base, applied share and amount already paid. Only after those checks should you ask whether a specific execution was excluded or adjusted.

For a hypothetical reconciliation, assume you listed 50 units of fees, the reviewer confirms 40 eligible units, and an agreed illustrative share is 25%. Expected cashback would be 10 units. If 8 units arrived, the unresolved difference is 2 units. The next question concerns that difference and its explanation, rather than asserting that all 50 units should have been refunded.

An account with multiple products needs a product-level explanation. Grouping all charges into one total can hide which part is under discussion. Ask for the supported reason for any exclusion and keep the response with the relevant ledger row. A missing answer remains unresolved; it should not be silently converted into a zero payment or a guaranteed future credit.

FAQ

Does a referral code guarantee TradePayback cashback?

No. The code is one part of the signup relationship. Your account attribution, product coverage and customer arrangement still need confirmation. Keep the code or destination used, registration timing and UID together so the team can investigate a mismatch. Never infer a universal cashback entitlement from a successful login.

Are funding payments and withdrawal charges included?

Do not assume that they are. List them separately from trading fees and ask which categories the applicable arrangement covers. The point of the ledger is to preserve those distinctions. You should not increase the estimated cashback by applying a trading-fee share to every debit in the wallet.

Should I trade more to test whether a rebate works?

No additional trading is needed to prepare an enquiry. Start with records that already exist. Cashback reduces a confirmed cost; it does not offset an unlimited trading loss or justify a larger position. If attribution is uncertain, resolve the account question before relying on future payments in your cost assumptions.

What should a useful support message contain?

Include “Bybit”, the UID, the period with its time zone, the payment type, a small set of execution references and the difference you want explained. Say whether you are asking about eligibility or a calculated amount. Keep the original records so a later correction can be checked against the same evidence.

For a broader view of available services, use the TradePayback guides. This page addresses customer cashback reconciliation; the existing Bybit fee and registration guides handle execution pricing and account creation separately. TradePayback may receive compensation through partner relationships. Confirm current terms before using a signup link, and do not treat any rebate as a guarantee of trading profitability.
