MetaTrader 5 Fees, Broker Accounts & Rebate Registration

Distinguish MT5 installation from a live broker account. Learn how to identify servers and account numbers, reconcile fees, and register an eligible account for partner rebates.

MT5 is a platform; the broker holds your account

Installing MetaTrader 5 does not open a funded trading account or activate a rebate. Identify the broker's legal entity, the live account type and its server before registering a partner account.

Account number, server and UID

Your portal login, trading-account number and partner UID can be different identifiers. Obtain the requested number from the official portal and account-opening email. Never send a trading password or authentication code to register a rebate.

Match symbol specifications before comparing fees

In MT5, inspect the selected symbol's Specification and retain the contract size, tick size/value and account currency. A gold symbol's lot need not match another broker's lot. Compare equivalent exposure rather than the same lot label.

Reconcile a statement without counting a fee twice

Open History and retain the covered date range, timezone, execution identifiers and commissions. Distinguish deal fees from financing and transfers. Ask whether commissions are one-way, round-trip or posted later before matching the rebate.

Broker-specific registration and rebate terms

If MT5 will not connect

Check live versus demo, the exact server name and the account number before resetting anything. Use the broker's official password recovery flow. Rebate support does not need your login password.
