Vantage Referrals: Check Demo and Live Account Routes

Does a Vantage demo registration establish attribution for a live account?
A demo login does not establish the live trading account's partner relationship. Match the client profile to the live account and obtain an account-specific attribution response.
Decision guide: what to do next
- You only have a demo account. Nothing to attribute yet. Open a live account through the same profile if you intend to trade with real funds.
- Your first live account was opened right after link registration. Ask for confirmation once if you have doubts; otherwise there may be nothing to fix.
- You opened an additional live account later. Send the template above with the new account number.
- You registered a second profile with a different email. Treat it as a separate client record and tell support plainly; do not create more profiles to "reset" a link.
What the official partner documentation describes
The Vantage Partners FAQ separates its IB and CPA programmes. It says that once an affiliate signs up, they receive a unique tracking link and can use an affiliate platform with reporting on referred account activity. It describes CPA payments as triggered by conditions such as country, traded volume and number of accounts referred per month, and it states that the programmes are designed to reward honest and genuine referrals, with the right to withhold or void commission otherwise.
Read from a client's perspective, three things follow:
- Attribution starts with registering through a tracking link.
- Attribution is visible in the introducer's reporting, not necessarily anywhere on your own screens.
- Payment conditions are terms between Vantage and the introducer.
That last point is why "my referrer gets paid, so I get paid" is not a safe assumption.
Client profile versus trading accounts
When you register with Vantage, you first create a profile in the client portal — tied to your identity and email. Underneath it you open one or more trading accounts on MT4, MT5 or other platforms. One person can hold several accounts.
Whether referral attribution is held at profile level or checked per account is an internal processing matter. So "my profile was referred, therefore every new account is too" is something to verify, not assume.
| Layer | What it is | What to check for attribution |
|---|---|---|
| Client profile | Identity and email level | Link and email used at sign-up |
| Live trading account | Real-money account number | Whether it shows the introducer |
| Demo account | Virtual-money practice | Not a source of real fees |
| Additional live account | Opened later | Confirm separately |
Why demo versus live matters
A demo account trades virtual funds, so no real commission or spread cost is paid to anyone. Demo activity therefore generally sits outside any referral reward or payback calculation. New traders sometimes practise on demo for weeks and then ask why nothing has been credited. That is usually an account-type question, not an attribution failure.
The opposite case is worth checking: you registered through a link, but later opened your live account through a different route, a different device or a different email. That is exactly the scenario where attribution may not be what you expected.
Building an evidence pack
When something looks wrong, a short factual record gets a faster answer than a complaint. Gather:
- The date, and approximate time, you registered.
- The email address you registered with. Never share your password.
- The referral link or introducer you used — if you came through TradePayback, the fact that you used the sign-up button on our detail page.
- The live account number you want checked. An account number identifies an account; it does not grant trading access.
- The account type (for example Standard or RAW) and the date it was opened.
Notice what is not on the list: portal passwords, trading passwords, one-time codes, or screenshots that show them. No legitimate attribution check needs those.
A support message you can adapt
Keep the tone as a request for confirmation, not a demand for a particular outcome:
Hello. I registered in the client portal on [date] using an introducer's referral link. I later opened live account [account number]. Could you please confirm whether this account is attributed to the same Introducing Broker as my original registration? If it is not, could you tell me whether a correction is possible and what the process would be?
Acknowledging that a change may not be possible tends to produce a clearer answer than insisting on one. Vantage, not the introducer, decides how its records are handled.
Checking with TradePayback as well
If you joined through TradePayback, we need to confirm on our side too, separately from Vantage's support. Reach us via Telegram, the chat in the bottom-right corner of the site, or the contact page, and share: the first few characters of your registration email, the live account number and the registration date. We never ask for passwords or verification codes. To view displayed conditions across several CFD brokers, see the comparison page.
Common misreadings
- "A referral link means part of the introducer's commission is paid to me automatically." The partner FAQ describes payments to affiliates; any client benefit is separate.
- "Demo trading counts toward referral activity." Without real fees, it generally does not.
- "A new account inherits attribution automatically." Possibly, but confirm it with an account number.
- "Support needs my login to check." It does not.
If you started through a demo link
Vantage's partner documentation describes separate referral links for live and demo accounts in the IB portal. Keep the link and date used for practice separate from the route used to request a live account. A tracked demo lead does not establish eligible live trading fees. Ask which introducer is recorded for the actual live account number, rather than treating a demo registration confirmation as proof. You do not need to open a partner account or access the IB portal to raise that customer enquiry.
FAQ
Does demo trading count for a referral or payback?
Generally no. Demo accounts use virtual funds and generate no real fees. Only real trading on live accounts is relevant to attribution checks.
Is an additional live account attached to the same introducer?
You should not assume so. Use the account number to ask both Vantage support and TradePayback to confirm its status.
Do I need to share my password to check attribution?
No. An account number, the registration email and the registration date are enough. Decline any request for passwords or codes.
